Meet Our Team

Brendan Edwards

Senior Pastor

Pastor Brendan and his family returned to the Mary Valley Wesleyan Methodist Church in July 2015.  They have the privilege of taking on a church set in the picturesque community of Amamoor.  They bring with them a young family of three gorgeous children and have slotted well into the local community.  They also bring with them a wealth of experience in Christian ministry, having worked with many mainline Christian denominations and agencies, and they are so excited for the future in the Mary Valley.

Brendan & the team have seen lives transformed and people challenged to a deeper awareness of God and a closer walk with Jesus.  The Mary Valley Wesleyan Methodist Church seeks to be a community of love and acceptance and is known as a church that cares, heals and reaches out.  They believe in a relevant Gospel that is practical and down to earth.  Pastor Brendan’s heart is to see everybody, whoever they are, come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as not just their personal saviour, but their best friend.

Pastor Brendan would love to see you at one of our services.  We have a fantastic accepting atmosphere every Sunday.  Feel free to introduce yourselves, we promise to make you feel right at home.

Sunday services are 9:30 am.  The second Sunday each month is our Communion Sunday service.  All are encouraged to stay for a morning tea in “The Outback” after the service.

We look forward to meeting you.

Caleb Lucas

Youth Leader

Caleb started at the Mary Valley Wesleyan in January 2017.  His journey has brought him here after serving at Gympie Wesleyan, Tin Can Bay Wesleyan and Gayndah Wesleyan.  He has been in a variety of youth leadership roles in churches and on youth camps.

His heart is for all people of all ages to live out their full potential that God has created them for, and his specific passion is for teenagers to not only survive this sometimes difficult period of life, but to thrive in it and to get the most out of it.

Caleb also wants to see tomorrow’s leaders developed today, and for young people to live life to the fullest and have maximum impact on those around them.
